Not everything hard is from God…but what He is building in you will be worth the effort it requires. Waiting is not wasted. It feels slow. Unseen. Quiet in ways that can almost feel like nothing is happening at all. But Scripture reminds me— those who wait on the Lord are not standing still… they are being renewed. Strength is being restored beneath the surface. Faith is being deepened in the unseen places. Endurance is being formed where no one else can see. Lent is teaching me this: God does not rush transformation. He builds it slowly. Faithfully. Intentionally. And when the time comes— what was formed in the waiting will carry you farther than striving ever could. There are moments when I want to check off faith as a task. A single commitment, a single choice, a single moment of devotion. But discipleship is not a one-time decision. It is a rhythm. A repeated turning of the heart toward God. Faithfulness is built in repetition. The small acts of obedience. The quiet prayers. The willingness to trust even when I cannot see the whole path. Yesterday I realized that surrender is rarely dramatic. It is rarely accompanied by applause or recognition.
